My name is Melody Foree and I aspire to be a broadcast journalist. It was not until my sophomore year of college at the University of Kentucky that I chose to declare my major in Journalism. Coming into college as a freshman I was debating whether or not to declare my major in Elementary Education or Music Education, as you can see I chose neither. I still however, believe that education is very important. One day I hope to be a music critic, although right now I enjoy filming and being the host of events. I have also dreamed of being a host on BET's 106 and Park. I am a person of so many skills and interest picking just one major was tough for me. I do not want to limit my career goals, becoming a reporter is first priority, next in line to own my own magazine and television show. As a kid, I have looked up to so many different people from celebrities, to activist, to family member and friends. Born and raised from Louisville, Kentucky, I would like to live outside of the city. I want to see and explore the world. I am currently minoring in French, the language of love. I first took french in high school, I chose to stick with it. Being bilingual I believe is an amazing asset. I would like to visit Paris, France one day if I do not visit any other place. I enjoy fashion and photography as well, I would like to attend fashion week and cover the various shows. J'adore Paris et journalisme. I believe I will be the best journalist their is. I intend to further my education beyond my years at the University of Kentucky.
